The original online application window was 26 February 2024 to 18 March 2024; fee payment was permitted until 19 March 2024; the correction window was 22–24 March 2024. This recruitment is closed; the later post-specific notice is not a fresh application opening.
APPLICATION FEE: ₹100 for General/OBC/EWS candidates. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST, PwBD and eligible Ex-Servicemen categories were exempt under the original notice. The fee fields below represent the standard category fee; eligibility for exemption depends on the official notice.
SELECTION: Computer-Based Examination followed by scrutiny of supporting documents/essential qualifications and subsequent stages as notified by SSC and the user department. Follow the latest post-specific notice for the current stage.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: Either (1) a Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics or Chemistry from a recognised university, OR (2) a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university or State Board of Technical Education; plus one year of experience in Production, Development or Quality Assurance in the relevant field from a recognised organisation/undertaking.
