An independent portal for Indian government job seekers

Editorial Policy

How we source, verify, and correct the information we publish. Last updated: October 2026.

Government job and exam information directly affects people’s careers and finances. We treat it as high-stakes content and hold it to a clear standard: publish only what we can trace to an official source, show our work, and fix mistakes fast. This page explains exactly how we do that.

1. Official sources first

Every listing originates from an authoritative source — the official notification, recruitment portal, or website of the issuing authority (for example a ministry, commission, board, bank, or university). We do not treat social media forwards, unofficial aggregators, or rumours as a basis for publishing a fact. Where a detail cannot be traced to an official source, we either omit it or clearly mark it as unconfirmed.

2. Verification and cross-checking

Before a listing is published, its key details — vacancies, eligibility, age limits, application fees, important dates, and official links — are checked against the official notification and, where possible, cross-referenced across more than one official source. Each listing records the sources it was checked against, so our verification is visible rather than merely asserted.

3. Clarity over completeness

Official notifications are often released in stages — a vacancy may be announced before fees or exam dates are finalised. When information is incomplete, we would rather show a section as pending than fill it with a guess. We separate confirmed facts from details still awaiting official confirmation, and we summarise in plain language without altering the meaning of the official text.

4. Updates and freshness

Recruitment information changes quickly: dates get extended, corrigenda are issued, links move. We monitor sources and update listings when the underlying notification changes, so that what you read reflects the current official position as closely as we can manage. Time-sensitive items such as closing dates and admit cards are prioritised.

5. Corrections

We correct errors promptly once we become aware of them. If you spot a mistake — an incorrect date, fee, eligibility detail, or a broken official link — please tell us through our Contact page. We review every report, verify it against the official source, and update the affected listing. Reader corrections are a core part of keeping the platform accurate.

6. Independence and advertising

Our editorial decisions are independent of advertising. YatriJobs is free to use and is supported by ads, but advertisers do not influence which listings we publish or how we verify them, and advertisements are not endorsements. We do not accept payment to list, rank, or favour any recruitment, result, or opportunity.

7. Our limits

YatriJobs is an independent information platform, not a government body, and we do not conduct examinations or recruitment. Despite our verification process, the official notification always prevails. Candidates must confirm every detail from the official source before acting — see our Disclaimer.
